AUSTRALIAN GEOLOGIST IN CANADA TO CALL FOR "CLIMATE RATIONALISM"

Ian Plimer, PhD, Professor of Mining Geology, The University of Adelaide; Emeritus Professor of Earth Sciences, The University of Melbourne, Australia is interviewed by John Counsell.

Professor Plimer was in Ottawa to deliver a keynote presentation at the Joint Annual Meeting of the Geological Association of Canada, the Mineralogical Association of Canada, the Society of Economic Geologists and the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits held on campus at the University of Ottawa from May 25th to 27th, 2011.

Professor Plimer's talk was entitled “Human-induced climate change:  Why I am skeptical”. His talk is summarized here. It was part of the important symposium "Earth climate: past, present, future".
