CALIFORNIA NEWSPAPER SEES THE LIGHT ON CLIMATE CHANGE 'TRUTH'

June 19, 2016: "California's state religion," by Joel Kotkin, R.C. Hobbs Presidential Fellow in Urban Futures at Chapman University, published in Orange County Register, Santa Ana, California.

"History is replete with stories of decline brought on by enforced official orthodoxy, from Byzantium to China’s Qing dynasty, the Spain of the Inquisition, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union or the current religious autocracies of the contemporary Middle East. As we seek to limit options and ways of thought about everything from marriage and bathrooms to how the planet operates, we don’t just persecute dissenters. We also undermine our ability to innovate, adapt and evolve as a society."

ENVIRONMENTAL EXTREMISTS WILL LEAVE US FREEZING IN THE DARK

April 7, 2016: "Hanging together to save affordable power - Conventional energy suppliers are all threatened by radical green advocates," by Tom Harris, published in The Washington Times, Washington DC.

"Throughout history, clever strategists have taken advantage of divisions within the ranks of their enemies to win otherwise unlikely victories. Military leaders would play tribe against tribe, province against province and then prey on the weaknesses that disunity brings.

"For example, while the Gauls were militarily as strong as the Romans, after centuries of tribal independence, the Gallic tribes would not work together to repel Julius Caesar. When Vercingetorix finally forged an alliance between all the Gallic tribes, it was too late. The newly organized Gauls were no match for Caesar’s forces, who easily subjugated the country. After five years of imprisonment, Vercingetorix was paraded through Rome and then executed by strangulation.

"A similar fate awaits America’s primary energy suppliers — coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear and hydro — if they do not band together to fight environmental extremism. After all, groups such as the Sierra Club, and many of their opportunistic proxies in government, are out to destroy them all.

"The Sierra Club’s “Energy Resources Policy,” adopted by its board of directors on Oct. 22, 2015, is a case in point. Among the resources opposed by the Sierra Club are: ..."

CANADIAN ENVIRONMENT MINISTER INSULTS CLIMATE REALISTS

August 2, 2016:Climate denier smear a cheap shot by McKenna,” by Tom Harris, Executive Director, International Climate Science Coalition, published in the Toronto Sun (and Ottawa Sun and Winnpeg Sun), Ontario, Canada.

“The climate debate is one of the world’s most important discussions. At stake are billions of dollars, millions of jobs, and, if Catherine McKenna, Canada’s Minister of [Environment and] Climate Change is right, the fate of the environment. We need leaders in science, engineering, economics, and public policy to contribute to the discussion without fear of retribution.

“Yet the opposite is happening. Because the issue has been poisoned with ridicule, censorship, and even death threats, many of the world’s experts are afraid to comment publicly.”
