GOV'T AND INDUSTRY FAILURE TO CONTEST CLIMATE ALARMISM RESULTS IN MASSIVE COSTS TO US ALL

November 26, 2011: "The Winnipeg-based Frontier Centre for Public Policy has just released an important one minute audio comment on how the failure of government and industry to contest the climate scare was largely responsible for the Keystone XL pipeline delay—listen here.

Tom Harris expands on this issue as well as the coming (January 1, 2012) carbon dioxide controls on all aircraft entering into, leaving from, or flying within Europe in his radio interview on The Tommy Schnurmacher Show”, CJAD Radio, Montreal, Quebec. Listen here.

COLD WEATHER KILLS 20 TIMES AS MANY PEOPLE AS HOT WEATHER

May 26, 2015: "Winters not Summers Increase Mortality and Stress the Economy," by Joseph D'Aleo, Certified Consultant Meteorologist and AMS Fellow, and Allan MacRae, M.Eng. (Geotechnical Engineering), published by Watts Up With That? (WUWT), "the world's most viewed site on global warming and climate change," Chico, California.

Global warming alarmists continue to over-emphasize the danger of heat and ignore cold in their papers and in stories for the media. The danger associated with this misdirection is that cold weather kills many more people that hot weather.

This conclusion is clearly supported by many studies of populations in a wide range of climates. Examples are provided below from a study of thirteen countries, as well as national studies from the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada and Australia.

Furthermore, this conclusion is not new, but has been known for many decades.

WORLD

Cold weather kills 20 times as many people as hot weather, according to an international study analyzing over 74 million deaths in 384 locations across 13 countries. The findings were published in The Lancet.

ONTARIANS: TELL THE GOVERNMENT WHAT YOU THINK OF A 'CARBON TAX'!

March 14, 2015: The Ontario Government invites public feedback on their Climate Change Discussion Paper in their open town hall meetings currently being held across Ontario. Here are the five remaining sessions (all are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm):

  1. March 16 in Hamilton at the McMaster Innovation Park, 175 Longwood Road South

  2. March 18 in Guelph at the University of Guelph Arboretum on College Avenue East

  3. March 18 in Aurora at the Aurora Cultural Centre, 22 Church Street

  4. March 19 in Windsor at the Art Gallery of Windsor, 401 Riverside Drive

  5. March 19 in Kitchener-Waterloo at the Kitchener Public Library, 85 Queen Street North

Climate change extremists will be out in force. Normal people need to be there too, or the government will conclude we don't care and a tax (or other 'carbon pricing' mechanism) to 'stop climate change' will be added to your bills starting in the spring!

BOSTON GLOBE COLUMNIST SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT

February 3, 2015: "No, 2014 wasn’t the ‘warmest year in history’," by Jeff Jacoby, Boston Globe, Boston, Massachusetts.

"All of which reasonably leads to the conclusion not that the planet has been relentlessly warming, but that the warming trend that peaked at the end of the 1990s has neither resumed nor reversed. Global warming has more or less been on hold since the turn of the 21st century. That hiatus poses something of an inconvenient truth to those who believe that anthropogenic carbon-dioxide is the key driver of climate change, since CO2 emissions have continued without letup."
