ICSC announces the sad passing away of our Policy Advisory Board member Owen McShane, Resource Economist, Centre for Resource Management Studies, New Zealand. One of the most brilliant minds on urban land use planning policy, Owen McShane, was a co-founder of the New Zealand Climate Science Coalition, which created ICSC. As quoted from the NZCSC Website: "Owen has been a lucid, articulate voice of reason across a wide range of infrastructure and planning issues, always impeccable in the depth of his research and staunchly courageous in his willingness to question the rationale for centralisation. We join his many friends and colleagues around the world in conveying our deep sympathy to his wife Jenny, in a loss that we also feel so deeply of someone whose friendship and irreplaceable wide counsel we will miss."
